Teeth Cleaning

Smiling Faces Pediatric Dentistry recommends these deep teeth cleanings every six months to ensure plaque and tartar don’t build up on your child’s tooth, creating cavities.

Cavities

Our caring dental team treats cavities and also helps with preventive care so your child can avoid them in the future. Special needs adults are welcome, too.

Surgeries

The dentists also treat cavities and offer fillings and sealants to prevent further damage. If necessary, the team can also perform oral surgery such as a pulpotomy or extractions.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

The team went above and beyond to calm our nervous boy. He has a different view on dentists now and we are very grateful! Highly recommend!

Highly recommended! Very nice and patient with our 2 year old son’s first appointment. The tech and the dentist were both very attentive to our son. The front desk attendant was great at answering questions and kind. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, only one parent got to take him in. However, it was still a great experience. Thank you, Dr. Heathcock.

WHY CHOOSE US?

  • TEETH CLEANING

During a routine cleaning, the hygienist uses a small, metal scaler to scrape off tartar above and below the gum line, and/or an ultrasonic vibrating device to loosen plaque and tartar.

  • CROWNS

A crown, or dental cap, is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant.

  • Exams

During exams, your child’s Smiling Faces Pediatric Dentistry provider examines their gums to check for infection and disease.

  • SEALANTS

Sealants are designed to minimize the nooks and crannies on the surface of a molar, preventing bacteria from accumulating in these small areas where it’s hard to remove with a toothbrush.

  • Fillings

Fillings are treatments for cavities, broken teeth, or other problems that damage a tooth’s integrity.

  • X-Rays

You already know that X-rays give doctors and dentists the opportunity to see what’s happening with your bones.
